Finishing of adhesive restorations must be non-destructive and tooth surfaces must be carefully prepared for final polishing.

Use of these instruments preserves far more tooth substance compared to conventional finishing instruments. Fractures of enamel and composite margins are significantly less common. A greater amount of perfect margins is therefore produced.
